A few post back I did one on 25 things you don't know about me. Well one of the things I said was that I would give my dog mouth to mouth! Well......take my word for it and be careful what you say. Two days ago my puppy was a normal happy puppy.Britt came home and Gracie was excited to see her and was jumping up and down and then all of a sudden she just fell over on the floor. Britt grabbed her and yelled at me. When I saw her she looked dead. She was not moving and lost her bowels. Here comes the part that I should have thought twice before I said it. I gave her mouth to mouth..YES...that's right gave my dog mouth to mouth!I would have done anything at that moment for her.I still didn't get any response so we jump in the car and I drove like a crazy lady to the vet.She just layed there not moving. Her eyes were opened and her tongue was hanging out.Britt and I were both bawling, praying and yelling at her to stay with us.Of course the first place we stopped the doctor was not in!She was starting to move her head a little by then. Finally we found a vet and they started her with oxygen. They at first thought she had broken her spine because she could not move her right side but x-rays were fine.We are still not sure what happened but it is probably one of two things, an insect bite or she ate some grass that had been sprayed 2 days ago.We are hoping that is all it is.I have always liked dogs but it wasn't until we got Katie and now Gracie that I really feel like they are part of the family. Only those with pets will understand. But seriously..mouth to mouth!!!

Okay that is funny and I totally get the mouth to mouth part. Not sure if I would actually do it or not .....I would have to be in the sitation to be sure. Animals are very much a part of your family. We were heart broken when our ST. Bernard died 3 years ago. They become just as important as your kids. I hope Gracie is going to be okay!!
I totally get it! I would do it for Starr in a heartbeat! I'm so glad little Gracie's ok!
I would have done the same thing. She is a very big part of our life as little as she is.
